TOKO ER80S-Ni2 TIG rods and MIG wire for low temperature service

Key Advantages

  • AWS A5.28 ER80S-Ni2 / ASME SFA-5.28 compliant — full traceability with certified chemical composition and mechanical properties.
  • Optimized nickel content (2.00–2.75%) — ensures excellent low temperature toughness for fine grained and nickel steels.
  • Copper coated or bright finish — smooth feeding and arc stability for TIG, MIG, and SAW processes.
  • Radiographic quality welds — low impurity levels (P≤0.025%, S≤0.025%) for critical applications.
  • Exceptional impact toughness — guaranteed ≥27J at -60°C, meeting the most demanding cryogenic requirements.
  • Available diameters: 1.6mm (1/16"), 2.0mm (5/64"), 2.4mm (3/32"), 3.2mm (1/8") in 1000mm cut lengths or spools.

Performance Benefits for Cryogenic Applications

  • Low Temperature Toughness: Excellent Charpy V-notch values down to -60°C, ideal for LNG and cryogenic service.
  • Arc Stability: Smooth, stable arc with minimal spatter for TIG root passes and MIG fill passes.
  • Weld Metal Cleanliness: Low hydrogen potential and strict impurity control ensure crack-free welds.
  • Mechanicals: High tensile strength (≥610 MPa) with good ductility (≥28% elongation).
  • Versatility: Suitable for TIG, MIG, and submerged arc welding processes.
